Health Care
COCKPIT, a performance-benchmarking network, was developed in 2006 to provide Community Health Centers in seven states access to powerful dashboards of performance measures, reports, trend graphs, and analyses of their health center’s performance benchmarked against other health centers. COCKPIT contains a data extraction component, a data mapping and validation component, a reporting component and a benchmark display component. COCKPIT's unique technology connects to any financial and practice management system. The process begins with the data extraction component that requires an authorized user within a Community Health Center to initiate an extraction. With a click of their mouse, that extracts, compresses, encrypts, and FTP’s selected data from the PMS/financial data systems to COCKPIT. Upon arrival, the data is transformed into the COCKPIT data model and loaded into COCKPIT. Once loaded into COCKPIT, authorized users have a convenient way to view their data and compare their health center's performance with other health centers across town, across the state, or across the nation. The reporting module contains Standard Reports (such as UDS tables and provider productivity) which are automatically refreshed with each data upload. The reporting module also has the ability to generate and save tailored reports down to the specific visit details. Users reduce the time gathering information and spend it analyzing and making business decisions that help their health center significantly improve performance.
Tiber Creek Consulting, in conjunction with Indiana Primary Health Care Association developed COCKPIT in 2006. Ownership of COCKPIT was transferred to the Alliance of Chicago in 2010.
